Relief and New Toys

Well the tax hassle is over for another year. Had to borrow money to pay off what I owed (Insert your favorite IRS rant here), which sucked but it keeps me from having to eat pb&js for a month. Happily, I did my state taxes wrong the first time, so I didn't end up oweing as much as I thought. So the leftover cash gets funneled over to my contact lens payment.

Meanwhile on the good side of that rollercoaster known as Jeff's finances, I picked up shiny new Dell Dimension 4400 with almost all the Jeff Required trimmings. This puppy is sweet. Bonus: it came with a flat panel monitor. I was dubious, but it is turning out to be super cool. It is soooo quiet! (The PC too). The noise level in my room has dropped tremendously while my processing power has been boosted to modern day. Happy happy joy joy!

Spring weather has finally arrived. No sooner than I warned Dave about getting head burn (we of the no hair on head club know this danger) than I went out and toasted my own head while we enjoyed the happy weather eating outdoors over at Wilikers. Fortunately, it was only a mild baking so no excess pain. But I get fun flakies for the next week. Woot!

Joy!

Today, I took the responsible yet sleepy path. I grabbed the trash, headed out the door, went back in to make sure the roommates had actually already left then locked up and headed out... only to realize a few quick seconds later that I didn't have my keys and thus had just locked myself out of the house. Moan.

So, after a few thoughts of forcing the door open or popping some windows, I figured that fixing the house would be harder than just walking to the store and calling for Steph to pick me up. A long walk, a free cola (thanks Hucks dude!) and a peaceful span of sitting outside the convenience store and I was soon back in action thanks to Steph. Thanks Steph!

Next time, I'll remember the cell phone before I do that. No really!

Begone Fools

I hacked my own site for April Fools. Wow I am so clever. Next I'm gonna paper my own house! Then if I'm feeling really mean, I'll wake up in the middle of the night while I am sleeping and put my own hand in warm water to make myself wet my pants. Bwhahaha I am too slick! --Jeffg
